Orient is a cross between an Asian and European pear, known as the heaviest bearing pear tree. It produces a creamy, juicy pear with a fairly fine texture. It is a large, round yellow-green fruit. It requires low chill hours (about 350-400). It is cold hardy, as well as heat and drought resistant. It is resistant to Fireblight.
