Mexican Bush Sage
Salvia leucantha
Mexican Bush Sage is a perennial, flowering shrub that is native to Mexico. It usually grows up to four or five feet tall. It blooms in Fall, and is a source of nectar for bees and other pollinators. It can be evergreen in climates when it does not freeze hard, but will survive in temperatures down to 18 degrees F; prune any freeze damage back in late winter. It loves the heat, is drought tolerant, and does not require much water.
