Katie’s Ruellia is a compact, flowering perennial native to Mexico. It can grow up to a foot wide and tall. It blooms from May through September, and is a source of nectar for bees and other pollinators. It can be evergreen in milder winters, but will die back in a hard freeze until the Spring. It is drought and heat tolerant, and does not require much water.
