Ficus carica ‘Brown Turkey’
Brown Turkey figs are originally from France. They produce a fairly small sized, sweet fruit. It is rusty red to purple in color, with green flecks and pink flesh. It’s heat tolerant, but needs protecting below 10 degrees. Planting on the south side of something gives protection from cold, northern fronts. Soil must be well drained, as figs do not like their roots sitting in water.
